Other Drama Clubs

The Polytechnic Dramatic Association

The most prominent drama club outside of the Poly Play Workshop. It was founded in 1890 with the name “Polytechnic Literary and Dramatic Club”, and took a break during World War I, and was briefly brought back in 1921. It was around at the same time as the Poly Play Workshop. It's main focus was on the acting and performance. They also put on shows only once a month at the chapel (Polywog 1911)

This club was only active for 3 years, between 1960-1963. It was an attempt to bring back the “Historic Poly Play Workshop” but was ultimately unsuccessful. There is not much information on the scope, but I would guess that their scope was very similar to the Play Workshop (Polywog 1960).

Performing Arts Club

This is the most recent theater club at Poly. It was founded in 2006 and continued until I assume around 2016. I was unable to find their actual last year since they were still alive when our yearbook collection ends (Polywog 2006).
