Summary
Through Investigation, we can found that engineering entrepreneurship is not unique to NYU-Poly. In recent years, many American universities, no matter those in New York City or those outside New York City, are establishing relevant courses or programs. Some colleges have more, while others have fewer. Nyu-poly and NYU Tandon are the ones who invest more, and have always taken I2E as an idea and spirit throughout the development of the whole school. As Dr. Decker said, the financial crisis was a major turning point for NYU-Poly's effort on engineering entreprenurship. Not only for our school of Engineering, but also for the New York City government, recognized the importance of strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship and strongly supported NYU-Poly's development in this field. With the development and progress of science and technology year by year, NYU Tandon has more incubators and other initiatives to both physically and mentally support the entrepreneurship and innovative ideas of students and faculty. All initiatives are now integrated under IIIE, managed and developed uniformly by this Institute. IIIE shows us NYU Tandon's comprehensive thinking and development of i2e. Halfway through the research on this topic, I saw many brochures of NYU-Poly period in the physical archive and came to the idea of "what people see might not be what people do". But I can say now, NYU-Poly and NYU Tandon have indeed invested an amazing amount of time and money and made deep thinking for the development of engineering entrepreneurship.
